OX-Tech - Technology firm specialising in spaceship parts. Tendency to put the letter X in all their part names. Symbol an OX with wings (what else) eXtreme fuel cell, Xtra dynamic wings etc
Thorn Corp - Eurasian Company with a variety of operations including the manufacturing of ships and ship components and are fierce competitors of OX-Tech on the ship components market. They are mostly known for their high quality and high priced engines. Their logo consists of the word Thorn underlined with a thorn character (Þ) on its side in gold lettering on a black background.
Yantuk Cybernetics (YCC)-Corp - Cybernetics firm. Robots, prosthetics and exo-skeleton lifters. The defence division creates battle armour based on the exoskeleton lifters. Looks a bit like a praying mantis. (Nicknamed Chit Armour) Symbol Robot Face with Japanese letters surround. Some prosthetics can be armed. Hidden guns, blades.
Jade Green Enterprises (JGE) - Originally a Philanthropist organisation (Mr Jade Green) that provides funds for off world start-up companies. Pioneering is expensive,so many start ups borrow money. Not many avenues for lending as it is difficult to send the bailiff's off world to collect.
Green Coop often hires 'muscle' to protect their investment. Has lent to governments off world projects, so their business tactics often get ignored. Hence term Green Meanies. Symbol Green Jade Chinese dragon statue.
British American Defence Corp (BADC) - Weapons manufacturers. All types from personal to ship wide systems. British parts tend to build ship wide systems, American small arms and personal armour. British armament s nicknamed BadB-oy. American nicknamed BadA-ss. I.e BadBoy plasma bomb. BadAss Mk42 Plasma rifle. Symbol BAD in letters. Corp underneath. Exa-Transhumanist Movement (XH+) (pronounced ‘exa’)- A movement of scientists who explore new technologies with a mind to improving the human race to survive in extreme conditions and allow colonization of all areas of Earth. Technology varies from genetic manipulation to implanted robotics. Initially formed when several philanthropist donated vast sums to look at life extension and improving genetic stock, but was soon extended to survive the rigors of space and aid in pioneering.
ExTerrestrial Pioneer Authority (EPA) - UN Government Authority responsible for settling planets and making sure enough goods arrive for the pioneering settlements. Funded by taxing ships and goods through space ports. This has caused a boom in smuggling as goods are very expensive. Symbol E.P.A. letters on the surface of a white bubble. Also responsible for policing on small colonies and combating piracy.
Rainbow Skies Pharmaceuticals (RSP) - All pharmaceuticals products, but also specialises in performance enhancing, pain relief and radiation drugs used by ships crews. Drugs nicknamed RaSPberries. Too many RaSPberries can be detrimental to your health and sanity making you go 'loony tunes'. Symbol - something chemically or Raspberry looking. Also have a genetics division

The United Peoples Republic
Aka The Peoples Republic (Formerly The Peoples republic of China and Russian Federation)
Since the union between the Russian Federation and the People’s republic of China, the United Peoples Republic is the largest and wealthiest of the world powers. Now its influence reaches new worlds and shows little sign of slowing down, despite the recent war. It surprised the other powers by allowing the an independence movement on Mars to become established, but it meant for a quick resolution, allowed it to take former federation territory and gained the mining privileges it was fighting for in the first place.
The Eurasian Union (Formerly European Union)
The Eurasian Union stayed out of the Mars Conflict, and its play it safe tactic has allowed it to grow and prosper at a steady rate. It is the second largest power, and although was slow off the mark in reaching for new territories, losing out on larger nearby bodies such as Mars, it is making up for lost time by reaching far and wide, and has jurisdiction over a number of moons and planetoids
The Federal Government (Aka The Federation (Former USA) )
A government recovering from a futile attempt to gain exclusive control of Mars, and the economic catastrophe that followed. The banks have a tight grip on this world power, but at last the colonisation of new worlds in the Oort cloud have given it a fresh lease of life and the future once again looks bright, assuming there a no more territorial disputes with the peoples republic or pro-independence uprisings.
The Colonial Alliance
Based on Mars, this new power was formed near the end of Mars conflict. The people of Mars grew weary of being on the front line of a territorial dispute when they personally had little to gain whoever won. An independence movement was formed and sought the help of the Eurasian Union, who offered medical aid but little else. Facing annihilation they made a pact with the side believed most likely to win. The Colonial Alliance is currently under the protection of the Peoples republic in exchange for mining rights, and half of Mars. Its hope is to align with new worlds but as a puppet of the united peoples republic, it’s finding it difficult to be taken seriously.
The United Nations
A shell of it’s former self since the Mars conflict, the united nations still maintains the role of mediating between the main powers in an official capacity. Unofficially it is often ignored and powers often leave them out of the loop. It does what it can to maintain peace which often involves juggling the main powers against each other on the battlefield of diplomacy. Deceit and guile are it arsonal and the EPA is its public enforcing body. Small number of UN troops left on Earth and Mars - but EPA are the main body throughout the Solar System.
